We are enormously pleased to be
offering this unique book to our visitors. For those familiar
with Paramahansa Yogananda, the author of "Autobiography of a Yogi",
this new book offers a "behind the scenes" glimpse of his first
years in the United States. It contains nearly 100 letters
from him never published before, along with new photographs and
intimate stories that reveal his charming personality as a divine
friend.
To those who are not familiar with
this great master, this book also provides an excellent glimpse into
the life of Dr. Lewis. A Boston dentist and family man, who
was a spiritual seeker; who found the guidance he sought, and began
his journey to consciously evolve his own life.
So often today, our spiritual
models are those who have taken the monastic path - as a monk or
nun. But, for those of us who live in the world, who have jobs
and families, the number of role models available to us, of those
who have attained a high spiritual state, are limited.
However, Dr. Lewis is just such a model. This book reveals the
depth of his realization along with personable, touching,
down-to-earth glimpses of his path to that realization.

Los Angeles, CA August 2, 2005 -- When I hear the words “mystic poet”, if
anything comes to mind at all, it’s probably Kahlil Gibran, author of The
Prophet; or perhaps, Rabindranath Tagore, Rumi, or even Omar Khayyam. They are
certainly all mystic poets and they share at least one common trait – they all
come from the East.
The East seems to have a historical right to produce mystic poets – the East is
still mysterious and full of behaviors and attitudes that seem slightly
unearthly and sometimes a bit miraculous. So, it’s appropriate for the East to
produce such “slightly larger than reality” personages from time to time.
However, there is a faint buzz coming out of the Mid-West; murmurs about someone
speaking about mystical experiences with God, about the reality of a love
greater than the human love we usually experience. His poems talk about
perceiving “the hidden purpose, the faint fine-spun fabric of symmetry and
order”. “Knowing that all is pristinely played and crowned with permanent
delight”.

14th at 2 pm.
St. Louis - He will be reading his poetry in the St. Louis area at

Kansas City - He will be reading his poetry at Barnes & Noble (8625
